We are a lively, diverse and growing church family who are passionate to know God. We have a big heart for this community and share the love of Jesus in Battersea and beyond.
#LoveYourNeighbour
St Peter’s Battersea has a passion for ‘bringing hope in Battersea and beyond’ so we have joined the #LoveYourNeighbour social response to the Covid-19 crisis.
With the help of the HTB Network, we are creating volunteer teams to help the vulnerable and isolated in our local community.
If you’re interested in helping, and want to know more, please contact hello@spb.church. Please note that for safeguarding reasons, you’ll need to be a member of the church to participate.
During the 2020 lockdown we made and delivered a weekly hot meal for some vulnerable members of our community. We are now helping families and individuals in a number of practical ways. If you are local and have a practical need or need help getting food please contact us hello@spb.church. We also have distributed homemade face masks to vulnerable people. If you would like one, please also let us know.
#LoveChristmas
Just before Christmas we delivered 22 hampers of goodies to local vulnerable individuals and families. These were a combination of parcels provided by HTB, gifts from the St Peter’s Church family and presents for children from Thomas’s School, Battersea.
In January 2021 we are giving away £2000 worth of supermarket vouchers to families most in need at this difficult time. This is a joint gift from St Peter’s Church and the HTB #LoveChristmas campaign. If you, or anyone you know of locally is struggling to buy food, please let us know.
St Peter’s is also part of the ‘BLSW11Alliance’, a group of key local organisations that aims to “Remove barriers that prevent people from reaching their potential as workers, volunteers and members of our community”.
The Big Local SW11 Alliance community partnership has launched a fund directed at supporting local groups and organisations in Battersea in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
